Yuga Labs Says Metaverse NFT Open Standards Coming

The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) creators are hard at work on open standards to enable NFTs to migrate between Otherside and other metaverses.

One of the unique selling points of the Web3 metaverse has always been the idea of interoperability; that users can port their NFTs between metaverse platforms. But to date, interoperability between metaverse platforms has been very limited.

Bored Ape Yacht Club founder Greg Solano said:

โ€œWeโ€™re going to be publishing our object standards as they become available; some are coming very soon, and others will be coming over the course of the next year. [Those standards will be] open standards that anyone can adopt, and can build on top of.โ€

What the open metaverse offers those creators is a means of monetizing their work beyond begging for Patreon donations or YouTube subscriptions, he explained.

Web3 Browser Opera Offering New NFT Analytics Tool

Opera has launched DegenKnows, a new NFT analytics, tracking and exploration tool that includes on- and off-chain analytics.

The new tool aims to help users navigate NFT projects and gain access to insights from the social media community.

Besides regular on-chain data analysis such as individual transactions, DegenKnows is intended to provided users with off-chain data from social media sources, including Twitter and Discord. More specifically, users can see Twitter feeds from the project's key opinion leaders and official accounts. The platform analyzes the team behind each NFT project, including the number of social media followers, true fans and total mentions over 24 hours.

With a "Smart Filter" function, DegenKnows claims to help users filter out wash trade, airdrop, transfer and scam projects.
